Last updated: 9 September 2026

Ellonox™ (“Ellonox”, “we”, “us”) operates ellonox.com and sells the Ellonox TrailView™ wireless reversing camera to customers in Australia. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We are committed to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us and information collected automatically when you use our site.

Information you provide:

  • Contact and account details — name, email address, phone number.
  • Shipping address — for delivery of your order.
  • Payment information — handled by our payment processor (Stripe) and (where applicable) Shopify. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Order details and any messages you send us.

Information collected automatically:

  • Device and browser data — IP address, browser type, operating system, screen size.
  • Usage data — pages visited, time on site, referring URLs, approximate location (country/region).
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 4 below.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Process, fulfil and deliver your order, including shipping protection where selected.
  • Provide customer support and respond to enquiries.
  • Send you order confirmations and, where you opt in, marketing communications.
  • Prevent fraud and verify payments.
  • Improve our website, products and advertising.
  • Comply with our legal and tax obligations.

3. How we share information

We share data only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed:

  • Stripe — payment processing (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Afterpay, Zip, Klarna, Affirm, Amazon Pay, Cash App Pay and Link, as enabled).
  • Shopify — order creation and fulfilment.
  • Shipping carriers — to deliver your order.
  • Email and analytics providers — to send transactional email and measure site performance.

We never sell your personal data. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Cookies, tracking and advertising technology

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your choices, and measure traffic. We also use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and other advertising tags to measure the effectiveness of our ads on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and the Meta Audience Network).

Through these tags, Meta may collect device information, page-view events, and conversion data (such as that an order was placed). This data is used to show you relevant ads and to report ad performance. Meta’s use of data is governed by its own policies at facebook.com/about/privacy.

You can opt out of interest-based advertising from Meta at facebook.com/settings and from other ad networks through the Your Online Choices service for Australia.

5. Data retention and security

We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (encrypted connections, access controls) to protect your data, but no method is 100% secure.

6. Your rights and choices

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time (use the unsubscribe link or contact us).

7. International transfers

Some of our service providers (such as Meta and Stripe) may process data outside Australia. We rely on their standard contractual safeguards for such transfers.

8. Children

Our site and products are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe we have collected a child’s data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.

10. Contact us

If you have a question, request or complaint about your privacy, email hello@ellonox.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
