How it works

Built for tight caravan park sites

No spotter, no guesswork, no scrape down the back. Ellonox shows you exactly what is behind you — on any rig, day or night.

Reversing a motorhome safely with a live view and guide lines
Reversing

See what is actually behind you — not what you hope is there.

The 150° wide angle picks up bollards, kerbs and kids' bikes before they become a problem. The live feed runs with about 0.2 seconds of delay straight to your phone or tablet — close enough to real time to steer by.

  • 150° wide angle – bollards and kerbs in view
  • 1080p resolution, around 0.2 s latency
  • Up to 60 m wireless range, even on long rigs
Ellonox TrailView™ on a caravan: easy hitching with a 150° field of view
Hitching up

Hitch up first go, with nobody guiding you

Put a second camera on the coupling, watch it on your phone, and line the ball up to the millimetre without getting out five times. That is exactly what the 2-pack is for: one camera stays at the rear, one on the hitch, no swapping between them.

  • 3-minute install, no drilling
  • Zero metres of cable to run
  • Up to 4 cameras in one app
  • Magnetic and adhesive mounts included
Ellonox TrailView™ features: live app view, reversing aid, motion alerts, night vision
After dark & parked up

When the light goes, Ellonox keeps seeing

Six infrared LEDs light up to 12 metres — in rain, and in unlit bush sites. Once you are parked, motion detection takes over: you get a push notification if something moves behind your vehicle.

  • Resolution: 1080p, 150° wide angle
  • Night vision: 6 infrared LEDs, up to 12 m
  • Connection: Its own Wi-Fi, up to 60 m, no internet needed
  • Battery: Approx. 8 h continuous, USB-C recharge in 3 h
  • Mounting: Magnetic & adhesive mount, no drilling
  • Protection: IP67 · −20 °C to 60 °C
Fitting the Ellonox TrailView™ in a few minutes, no drilling
Installation

Clip it on, line it up, drive off

Click the camera onto the mount, set the angle, tighten it — done. No workshop, no loom, no cutting into your vehicle's wiring. When you change vehicles, Ellonox simply comes with you.

  • Magnetic mount or adhesive pad for fibreglass and paint
  • 210° rotating bracket for the perfect angle
  • Take it off and reuse it on your next vehicle

First site in Byron Bay, reversing between two trees. Without the camera it would have taken ten minutes — instead it was one clean run.

I hitch up on my own now. One camera at the rear, one on the coupling, phone in the cradle — done. That is why you get the 2-pack.

Five-minute install, picture is sharp. Battery lasts me a good month on standby — still an easy recommendation.

The night vision is surprisingly good. On an unlit bush site I could clearly see the stump behind me.

Backing down the ramp was always stressful. With the picture on my phone I now reverse in one go.

No reception out there, connection still rock solid. The motion alert woke me once overnight — luckily just a possum.

Frequently asked questions

Does the camera need internet, mobile data or the caravan park Wi-Fi?+

No. Ellonox creates its own Wi-Fi signal that your phone connects to directly. It works in a paddock with no reception and uses none of your data.

Is the range enough for a long rig?+

The direct connection carries up to about 60 metres in the open. On rigs up to 12 metres the picture stays stable — even with a metal wall between the camera and the cab.

Does Ellonox work with iPhone and Android?+

Yes. The free app runs on iOS 13 and Android 8 or later. You can manage up to four cameras in the same app and switch between views.

How is the camera mounted — do I have to drill?+

No. A magnetic mount and an adhesive mount for painted and fibreglass surfaces are both included. Either one goes on in about three minutes, with no drilling and no workshop.

How long does the battery last and how does it charge?+

Around 8 hours of continuous use, and several weeks to months on standby with motion detection — depending on how often the camera triggers. It charges over USB-C in about 3 hours.

Will it handle rain, a car wash and cold nights?+

The housing is IP67 rated against dust and jets of water and works from −20 °C to 60 °C. Take the camera off before a car wash though — high-pressure jets go beyond IP67.

Can I record footage?+

Yes. With a microSD card up to 128 GB, Ellonox records locally — handy if someone clips your vehicle at a campsite.

How do returns and warranty work?+

You get a 60-day money-back guarantee, plus a 24-month warranty on hardware faults. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law always apply as well.
